Ms. Yvonne: Worst Elderberries Ever

Worst batch of elderberries I ve ever used, and I m a seasoned herbal artisan. The smell alone -- like a huge pile of smelly socks - was enough to deter anyone in my my house from even tasting the syrup I tried to make. The syrup turned out so very, very bitter -- and so very, very stanky not stinky, STANKY . I don t know if this was a bad batch, but I will go back to Mountain Rose, Oregon s Wild Harvest and or Monterey Bay Spice Company again before Starwest. So disappointing.
